January 5, 2010 Winter Recreation Programs at Lincoln School until February 26.
March 25, 2010 57th annual BB Gun and Basketball Banquet at Oglesby Elks at 6:30 PM. Participants in the City’s winter recreation programs are honored along with sponsors.
April 24, 2010 MLB Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run local competition at Dickinson Field at 1 PM. Illinois Valley youngsters test their skills in baseball events to advance to sectionals.
May 8, 2010 Summer Recreation Program Registration from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Dickinson House.
May 11, 2010 Annual Mayors Parade begins at 6 PM at corners of West Walnut Street and Woodland Avenue and proceeds to Dickinson Field to recognize girls softball and boys baseball players.
May 15, 2010 Summer Recreation Program Final Registration from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Dickinson House.
May 22, 2010 MLB Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run Sectional Competition at Dickinson Field at 1 PM. Youngsters from north central Illinois compete in baseball skills competition with opportunity to advance to Chicago for team championships.
June 14, 2010 Summer Recreation Programs begin. Youth tennis lessons, arts and crafts, clinics for baseball, basketball, bowling, volleyball, softball & cheerleading are offered.
September 11, 2010 NFL Punt Pass and Kick Competition takes place at Courtyard Park at 2 PM. Boys and girls ages 8-15 test their football skills with the opportunity to advance to sectional and team championships.
September 18, 2010 Say No to Drugs Fun Day at Oglesby Elks grounds at 1 PM. Oglesby grade school children participate in a variety of old fashioned games and activities to help promote a drug free lifestyle.
October 24, 2010 Halloween Spook-tacular at the Dickinson House between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Children pre-school thru 4th grade invited to stop by in costume with parents for free moonlight bowling, treat bags, pumpkin decorating, coloring contest, and other games and activities.
December 12, 2010 Santa’s Holiday Open House from 3:00 – 6:30 PM. Carriage rides, free bowling, Christmas music, visit with Santa and Christmas goodies. Open to the public.
