Harvest Festival Youth Tractor Pull

The Youth Tractor Pull is just one of many events planned for the second Harvest Fest. Slated for the first Saturday in October, the event is held in Downtown Oglesby.

May 4, 2013 Summer Recreation Program Registration from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Dickinson House.

May 11, 2013 Annual Mayors Parade begins at 10:00 AM at corner of East Walnut Street and Spring Avenue and proceeds to Memorial Park Field to recognize girl’s softball and boy’s baseball players.

June 10, 2013 Summer Recreation Programs begin. Youth tennis lessons, arts and crafts, clinics for baseball, basketball, bowling, volleyball, & cheerleading are offered.

June 27, 2013 Summer Fun Fest begins on Thursday and ends on Sunday night at the Oglesby Municipal Pool grounds. Some attractions are multiple live entertainment acts, carnival, several food vendors, family oriented games for children, and fireworks.

September 21, 2013 Say No to Drugs Fun Day at Oglesby Elks grounds at 1 PM. Oglesby grade school children participate in a variety of old fashioned games and activities to help promote a drug free lifestyle.

October 5, 2013 Harvest Fest begins at 10:00AM and continues on throughout the day with many fun and family oriented events. The events may include: Holy Family 5K Race, Chalk Drawing Contest, Harvest Marketplace, Custom Car Show, ‘Scarecrow Scramble,’ and Family Fun.

October 26, 2013 Halloween Parade begins at 1:00 PM at corner of East Walnut Street and Spring Avenue and proceeds to the Dickinson House. Children in costume and parents are welcome in the Dickinson House for treat bags.

December 15, 2013 Santa’s Holiday Open House from 3:00 – 6:30 PM. Carriage rides, free bowling, Christmas music, visit with Santa and Christmas goodies. Open to the public.
