January 9, 2018

Winter Recreation Programs at Lincoln School. Recreation basketball for 2nd - 6th graders on select nights during the week until March 1st.


March 15, 2018

65th annual BB Gun Banquet at Oglesby Elks at 6:30 PM. Participants in the City’s winter recreation programs are honored along with sponsors.

May 5, 2018

Annual Mayors Parade begins at 10:00 AM at corner of West Walnut Street and Woodland Avenue heads east to Glen Avenue and south to Bottomley Field to recognize girls’ softball and boy’s baseball players.


May 19, 2018

Summer Recreation Program Registration from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at City Hall.


June 4, 2018

Summer Recreation Programs begin.  Youth tennis lessons, Fun & Fitness Camp, clinics for baseball, basketball, bowling, volleyball, & cheerleading are offered.


June 14-17, 2018

Summer Fun Fest begins on Thursday and ends on Sunday night at the Oglesby Municipal Pool grounds. Some attractions are multiple live entertainment acts, carnival, several food vendors, family oriented games for children, and fireworks. Sunday PARADE is back this year!


July 21, 2018

Central Region Tournament begins on Saturday and ends on Wednesday at Oglesby’s Gandolfi Field. The best teams from the central region states come to Oglesby and Peru to play for a chance to make it to the World Championship. Oglesby will hold the Championship game on Wednesday, July 25 at 8:00 PM.


October 20, 2018

Harvest Fest begins at 9:00 AM and continues on throughout the day with many fun and family oriented events. The events may include:  Harvest Marketplace, Team Scramble (like Amazing Race), Petting Zoo, Wagon Rides, Face painting, and Family Fun. Now featuring the annual Halloween Parade at 3:00 PM. Line-up starts at the corners of Spring Ave. and Walnut St. at 2:45 PM and concludes at Woodland Ave. and Walnut St.
