CALENDAR YEAR 2017


May 6, 2017 - Annual Mayors Parade begins at 10:00 AM at corner of East Walnut Street and Spring Avenue and proceeds to Memorial Park Field to recognize girls’ softball and boy’s baseball players.


May 20, 2017 Summer Recreation Program Registration from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at City Hall.


June 5, 2017 - Summer Recreation Programs begin.  Youth tennis lessons, Fun & Fitness Camp, clinics for baseball, basketball, bowling, volleyball, & cheerleading are offered.


July 6 – 9, 2017 - Summer Fun Fest begins on Thursday and ends on Sunday night at the Oglesby Municipal Pool grounds. Some attractions are multiple live entertainment acts, carnival, several food vendors, family oriented games for children, and fireworks.


July 21, 2017 Central Region Tournament begins on Friday and ends on Wednesday at Oglesby’s Gandolfi Field. The best teams from the central region states come to Oglesby and Peru to play for a chance to make it to the World Championship.


September 16, 2017 - Say No to Drugs Fun Day at Oglesby Elks grounds at 1 PM.  Oglesby grade school children participate in a variety of old fashioned games and activities to help promote a drug free lifestyle.


October 21, 2017 - Harvest Fest begins at 9:00 AM and continues on throughout the day with many fun and family oriented events. The events may include:  Harvest Marketplace, Escape House, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Face painting, and Family Fun. Now featuring the annual Halloween Parade at 3:00 PM. Line-up starts at the corners of Spring Ave. and Walnut St. at 2:45 PM and concludes at Woodland Ave. and Walnut St.
