A REGULAR MEETING OF THE OGLESBY CITY COUNCIL WAS HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2019, AT CITY HALL.  THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 P.M.

The Mayor opened the floor to comments from the public on agenda items only. There were none.

Luke Tomasha from Perfectly Flawed Foundation addressed the council and public to inform them of the organization and what they do for the community.

A MOTION WAS MADE BY PORTER, SECONDED BY ARGUBRIGHT to approve ordinance 1054-031819, Ordinance Establishing an Administrative Procedure for Assessing and Determining Claims Under PSEBA. AYES: PORTER, RIVARA, ZBOROWSKI, ARGUBRIGHT, FINLEY.

A MOTION WAS MADE BY ZBOROWSKI, SECONDED BY PORTER to approve the purchase of a 2019 pickup truck for the street department at a cost of approximately $29,265. AYES: PORTER, RIVARA, ZBOROWSKI, ARGUBRIGHT, FINLEY.

A MOTION WAS MADE BY ZBOROWSKI, SECONDED BY ARGUBRIGHT to place on file ordinance 1057-040119, Execution of a Sanitary and Storm Water Sewer and Easement Agreement. AYES: PORTER, RIVARA, ZBOROWSKI, ARGUBRIGHT, FINLEY.

A MOTION WAS MADE BY PORTER, SECONDED BY ARGUBRIGHT to place on file ordinance 1058-040119, Authorizing Execution and Agreement for Professional Service Between the City of Oglesby and the North Central Illinois Council of Governments. AYES: PORTER, RIVARA, ZBOROWSKI, ARGUBRIGHT, FINLEY.

A MOTION WAS MADE BY PORTER, SECONDED BY RIVARA to accept the letter from the Fraternal Order of Police Withdrawing their grievance with the City. AYES: PORTER, RIVARA, ZBOROWSKI, ARGUBRIGHT, FINLEY.

A MOTION WAS MADE BY PORTER, SECONDED BY ARGUBRIGHT to Accept all submitted Tag Day Requests; Oglesby Firefighters Association, Oglesby Girls Softball, Cub Scouts, American Legion, Oglesby Ambulance Association and Oglesby Public Library. AYES: PORTER, RIVARA, ZBOROWSKI, ARGUBRIGHT, FINLEY.

The Mayor asked for comments from the public. Drew Merriman asked why the 50/50 tickets didn’t have numbers on them. Mayor said that it’s cheaper to do it the way we do it.

Commissioners and Mayor’s Report:

Rivara- Commissioner Rivara said that the council has signed a thank you letter to be sent to the Dickinson House Foundation

Argubright- None

Zborowski- None

Porter- None

Mayor Finley- Mayor Finley told everyone about the drive thru food drive to help refill the micro pantry being held Saturday March 23 from 9am-Noon.
